About Jess Healy: she/her M.A, LCSW

As a licensed clinical social worker I am passionate about working with adolescents, adults and their families and think of myself as a facilitator of empathy, hope and change. I have 13 years of combined experience as a community based and EMDR trained clinical social worker in private practice and I specialize in complex trauma and attachment issues in adolescents and adults, anxiety, depression and grief and loss issues.

Collaboratively we will address the underlying issues that bring an individual into therapy and navigate the change process together. In my work I teach a foundational understanding of Polyvagal Theory theory as it applies to unprocessed trauma, general psycho-education about mental health, utilizing a combination of evidence based and eclectic interventions while drawing on the inherent wisdom of each client to guide our therapeutic process offering compassion and a listening ear along the way.

I work with adolescents and adults who have experienced developmental trauma, are struggling with anxiety and depression, suicidality, self-harm and addiction issues and/or experienced the traumatic loss of a significant loved one.

I also specialize in working with young adults who are navigating the complex world we live in today and struggling with some of the following: social isolation, hopelessness and loss of faith in a viable future.

I am a trained EMDR therapist and have advanced training in family systems therapy and attachment, addiction and codependency issues. I also hold an accredited master’s degree in Experiential Health and Healing from The Graduate Institute and am a Certified Soul Centered Healing Practitioner through the healing school of Helen White Wolf in New Zealand. Soul Centered Healing is a meditative, somatic based experiential therapy.

Finding a therapist for yourself and/or your adolescent can be a first step in the change process, an act that takes courage and faith. I encourage you to call or email me with questions and to discuss your hopes and challenges to determine if I am a good fit for working with you and/or your adolescent and family.
